National Caribbean American Heritage Month in the United States JUNE 2019 Caribbean Americans have been contributing to the development of the United States of America since 1672.  The official campaign for a National Caribbean American Heritage Month began in 2004 when a legislative bill was tabled in Congress by US Congresswoman Barbara Lee.
